Training and development are critical in enhancing employee performance in the telecommunication sector. The telecommunication sector is dynamic and characterized by continuous technical progress. Employees' skills and abilities are improved through training programs that keep them abreast of emerging trends, techniques, and technology. This makes it possible for them to work more productively and successfully. This study aimed to determine the impact of training and development on employee performance in the telecommunication sectors in Afghanistan. This study employed qualitative and quantitative research techniques, with a sample size of 316 staff from various levels of management in the telecommunication sectors in Afghanistan. The data was collected through the structured questionnaire, which used SPSS version 25 for the analysis. Also, the study employed descriptive, correlation, and regression analysis to analyze collected data. The significant finding showed that training and development positively impact employee performance. It recommended that the training and development program be continuous for the employees, not only for some specific times.
