Abstract

This study was conducted in the wooden canopy of the College of Agriculture - University of Kirkuk, Iraq, for the period from 15/12/2019 to 15/6/2020, to study the effect of five periods of stratification (0, 15, 30, 45, 60 days) and three agricultural media on seeds germination percentage and fertilization with humic acid with two concentrations (2.4) g. L-1 on some vegetative growth characteristics of apricot seedlings. (Prunus armeniaca L. Zaginia cultivar). The experiment was carried out according to the randomized block design (RCBD), with three replications. The results showed that the stratification period of 45 days and the agricultural medium with peat moss, as well as the fertilization with humic acid at a level of 4 g L-1 assured a higher apricot seed germination percentage of seed germination and growth of apricot seedlings was significantly higher than the other treatments.
