Science is the engine that drives the wheel of development. Consequently, there is a need for people
to have faith in science and believe its facts and truths. This paper has looked into some of the
definitions of what actually science is, and has highlighted some of the findings that science has
concluded—the explanations offered in science. The main phenomena that have been tackled in this
paper include rainfall and rainbows, earthquakes, lightning and thunders. Other facts that have been
discussed include diseases, adaptation, natural selection, mutation, survival for the fittest and
evolution. Faith and religion as well as beliefs have been mentioned too. The challenges facing the
belief in science have been identified; how to overcome them, and where religion has been identified
as the main obstacle in science’s path. In general, this paper presents the overall view of science to
the readers with the sole aim of enlightening people as to why they should actually believe in it,
identifying the biggest challenge hindering furtherance of science ideas in men as well as offering
ways that can help in overcoming them.
